A fully guided bike tour to the most stunning valleys of Lower Mustang. Witness ethnic cultures of the Thakali people surrounded by spectacular mountain views. We kick-start with a ride to Pokhara - Nepal's most chilled out lakeside city nestled in the lap of Annapurna mountains. Chill out at the Pokhara's laid-back lakeside town or go boating on the calm waters of Fewa lake. The ride passes through some jaw dropping scenic countryside roads along Kusma and Baglung before hitting the dirt road build recently along the most popular Annapurna trekking trail. We stay at Lete-Kalopani for overnight at the Kalopani Guest House. Spectacular view of Nilgiri south from the Guest House compound. Great food with availability of wifi.
The ride continues through the scenic dirt road and the world's deepest gorge along the raging Kali Gandaki river all the way to Muktinath (3800m). Riding thru the narrow alleys of Marpha offers insight into the lifestyle of Thakali people. We stop for lunch at Jomsom, a small town with seasonal airport and awesome view of the Nilgiri mountain and get our permits stamped. The last lapse to Muktinath is a sheer climb from 2400m to 3800m. As we ascend to the height of Muktinath, the spectacular desert like landscape unfolds.
Mountain views here are jaw dropping. Villages are highly influenced by Tibetan culture and lifestyle. Explore the Muktinath and the surrounding areas on foot. Visit the holy temple of Salvation with 108 water spouts where Hindu & Buddhist pilgrims come from all over the world in order to cleanse their sins.
We ride back the same route enjoying the spectacular mountain views once again and the hot spring bath at Tatopani. We continue our ride back to Kathmandu, via Pokhara. An extra day in Pokhara is suggested if you have time for some extra adventure activities like paragliding, zipline, bungy, or explore the numerous natural caves in the Pokhara valley.
